SOUTHAMPTON CONTAINER TERMINALS ANNOUNCES NEW BRAND
Southampton Container Terminals Ltd (SCT) announced today (11 June 2008) that the terminal will trade as DP World Southampton with effect from 1 July 2008. From this date, the new branding will be rolled out progressively across the whole terminal.

The two new super post-panamax cranes which are currently under construction on the terminal will be among the first pieces of equipment to be branded with the new logo.

Talking about the new identity, Campbell Mason, Managing Director, SCT, said: "This is a very exciting change for the terminal and one we are very much looking forward to implementing. We are confident that in adopting this strong global brand, there will be a clear association that we are part of a worldwide group of marine container terminals with a wealth of operational expertise, industry knowledge and relationships, a clear focus on customer service and the capability to further develop our terminal."

The ownership of the terminal will not change. DP World will continue to own 51% and Associated British Ports (ABP) will continue to own 49%.
