NEW FACES IN EAST ANGLIA FOR ABP

Associated British Ports (ABP) has announced the appointment of Roger Arundale as Deputy Port Manager, East Anglia, and Graham Tetley as Assistant Port Manager, East Anglia.

Mr Arundale, 50, joined the Company in 1974, and, before taking up his new post, spent six years as Assistant Port Manager and Personnel Manager at the Port of Grimsby & Immingham, the UK’s largest port by tonnage. He has previous experience of working in ABP’s East Anglian ports, having worked at the Port of Lowestoft between 1988 and 1990.

Mr Arundale holds a degree in Business Studies, and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport. He is also a keen wildlife enthusiast, and has been heavily involved with many of ABP’s Sustainable Development projects. In his time at Grimsby & Immingham, he led the port’s efforts to obtain the groundbreaking harbour revision order needed for its Immingham Outer Harbour development, building strong relationships with organisations such as Natural England, RSPB and the Environment Agency, as well as local councils and wildlife trusts.

Mr Tetley, 46, joined ABP in 1978, and has considerable experience of the workings of a port, having been Operations Manager at Immingham since 2006. Prior to this, he spent 15 years in other operational, supervisory and management roles. As Assistant Port Manager, he will report directly to ABP’s Port Manager in East Anglia, Alastair MacFarlane, but will have special responsibility for the Port of King’s Lynn, where he will be based.

Mr Tetley is currently studying for a Chartered Management Institute Diploma in Management. In his spare time, he enjoys jogging, cycling and playing five-a-side football. He takes up his new post on Monday 28 April.

Alastair MacFarlane, ABP Port Manager, East Anglia, said: “I’d like to welcome Roger and Graham to their new posts, and I look forward very much to working with them both.”
