ABP APPOINTS GROUP SOLICITOR

Associated British Ports (ABP), the UK’s leading and largest ports business, has appointed Julie Galligan as its second Solicitor to the Group.

Ms Galligan will be based at ABP’s head office in Holborn, London, where she will support Andrew Garner, ABP’s General Counsel, with the Company’s legal affairs. She will be involved with the full range of ABP legal issues, but will focus, primarily, on ABP contracts and local port issues.

Ms Galligan joins ABP from City law firm S. J. Berwin, where she was involved in advising on a large range of corporate and commercial matters.  Prior to that, she worked for one of Australia’s leading law firms, Minter Ellison, in Melbourne.

ABP owns and operates 21 ports around the UK – including Grimsby & Immingham, Hull & Goole and Southampton – and handles approximately a quarter of the country’s entire seaborne trade
